Wander Women Garden Gathering at Amisfield Walled Garden
Step away from the festival buzz of Haddstock and immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of East Lothian’s green heritage with this special collaborative event.
A Garden Gathering at Amisfield Walled Garden
In celebration of Haddstock’s Garden theme, Wander Women and Village Green Gatherings invite you to experience a curated journey of nature connection within the historic walls of Amisfield Walled Garden.
Led by Anna of Wander Women, this 90-minute guided session offers a gentle, restorative pause from the festival atmosphere. Through mindful walking, sensory invitations, and garden-inspired forest bathing techniques, you’ll be encouraged to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with yourself, with nature and with the landscape around you.
Amisfield Walled Garden, a beautifully restored heritage garden just outside Haddington, provides the perfect sanctuary setting. Surrounded by seasonal blooms, heritage planting, and peaceful pathways, you’ll have space to breathe, reflect, and find your flow.
We’ll conclude our experience with a signature outdoor brew and a reflective closing circle, leaving you feeling grounded and refreshed.
Date: Sunday, 31st May 2026

Sunflowers & Biophilic Design
With Lynn of Lynn Hill Garden Design
In this relaxed and inspiring one-hour session, award-winning garden designer and East Lothian Life gardening columnist Lynn Hill will guide you in crafting your own decorative sunflower from hessian, a beautiful, rustic piece to take home and display.
As you create, Lynn will share insights into the art of garden design, exploring how thoughtful planting and layout can transform outdoor spaces into places of beauty, wellbeing, and connection. The session will also introduce the principles of biophilic design (the practice of designing spaces that strengthen our relationship with nature) and how these ideas can be applied in both gardens and everyday environments.
This workshop blends creativity with conversation.

Gardening Through the Seasons
Seasonal Workshops with Award-Winning Garden Designer Lynn Hill
Join us for a year-long series of Gardening Through the Seasons workshops, led by award-winning garden designer Lynn Hill. These relaxed, hands-on sessions take place four times a year, each focusing on the key tasks and rhythms of the garden at that particular season.
You’re welcome to attend individual workshops, or join us across the year as the garden changes.
Across the seasons, you’ll learn practical skills for looking after your garden, with guidance on what to do, when to do it, and why it matters. We will also be planting seeds, preparing spring bulbs, and creating festive wreaths for you to keep and take home.
Each workshop is a 3-hour session held in a beautiful private walled garden in North Berwick. Over tea and cake, we’ll explore the garden together noticing seasonal jobs, learning what works well, and admiring the details that make a garden truly shine.

Garden Design Clinic
If you have a problem area in your garden and would love some expert guidance, our Garden Design Clinic offers a relaxed and supportive way to get help.
Perhaps you’re working with a blank canvas after moving into a new build, adapting your garden following an extension, or struggling with an area that just isn’t shining. In this small-group clinic (maximum 5 participants), award-winning garden designer Lynn Hill will guide you through practical design ideas tailored to your space.
Before the session, you’ll receive a short questionnaire so Lynn can tailor the experience to each garden. During the 2.5-hour session, every garden will be discussed, giving participants the chance to learn from each other’s challenges and ideas in a supportive, welcoming setting.
This group format makes professional garden design advice far more accessible, as a garden design consultation typically costs over £350. Making this bitesize dedicated advice a valuable and affordable alternative.
Our first clinic will be held in a beautiful private walled garden in North Berwick, where we’ll enjoy tea and cake while working through garden ideas together.
📅 Sunday 17 May, Sunday 14 June and Sunday 27 September 2026
